Cure has covered a variety of sports since 2016. He has served as a broadcaster, analyst, and reporter for football, basketball, baseball, soccer (futbol), kart racing, mixed martial arts, boxing, hockey and golf. As a student, Cure served as the lead Play-by-Play commentator for both Belen Jesuit and Christopher Columbus. There, Cure commentated on football, basketball, and baseball. Cure was recognized for his commentary work and on-air talent by professionals and publications within the media industry.
In 2017, Cure interviewed Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez, where they covered all the bases, including Rodriguez's career, downfalls, business ventures, and at the time, new relationship with Jennifer Lopez. After the interview was released, local Fox affiliate and Channel 7 news station WSVN contacted Cure's family to do a story on Benjamin.
In 2018, Cure was selected to be a Kidcaster for the Miami Heat. Cure participated in 7 different segments throughout the national television broadcast, ranging from live interviews to play-by-play commentary.
In 2019, Cure also had the opportunity to be a part of a Fox Sports commercial for the Major League Baseball Miami Marlins. The commercial aired on national television throughout the team's 2019 season. Later in 2019, Cure made a play-by-play call during his high school football team’s game that went viral because of an incredible play by running back Henry Parrish Jr. The play and commentary were featured on the Fox Sports broadcast during Fox’s first season of Under the Lights.
In the summer of 2020, Cure made history when he was hired as Digital Host for Inter Miami CF. At 16 years old, the hire made Cure the youngest host or sports reporter in Major League Soccer history.
In March of 2022, Cure founded his signature program: The Benjamin Cure Show. Every Monday, Cure shares his take on the biggest stories in sports. The show has amassed over 4,000,000 views across all platforms.
In May of 2022, Cure was the winner of The Jim McKay Memorial Scholarship. The Jim McKay Memorial Scholarship honors sportscaster Jim McKay (1921-2008) and was established in 2009 by the HBO, CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX networks. It is awarded to a student pursuing a career in sports television. Cure was presented this honor at the 43rd Annual Sports Emmy® Awards in New York City, New York.
In 2024, Cure took his talents to the World Wide Leader in Sports airwaves as a Broadcaster on ESPN+. Widely regarded as the #1 Sports Streaming Service in the world, Cure delivers passionate, engaging coverage, providing insightful commentary to enhance the viewer experience and contribute to the excitement of our broadcasts. He currently covers Division 1 College Baseball.
